  • The Olympic flag is being raised above Downing Street, the official residence of Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The 2012 London Olympics will be held during July 27 to August 12, 2012. The flag will be replaced later with Paralympic flag during the Paralympic Games from August 29 to September 9, 2012. The International Olympic Committee, the London Organising Committee and Westminister Council granted permission for the flag to be hoisted over Downing Street.
