World's smallest man set to make it to Guinness on 18th birthday

June 11, 2011 - London

Junrey Balawing indulged in a beer nearly equivalent to his own size as he rejoiced over becoming the world's smallest man.

On behalf of Guinness World Records, Nepal's 26.4-inch Khagendra Thapa Magar will crown the 22-inch Filipino, who turns 18 on Sunday.

"I am so excited! I am small, but now I am a man. I have tried beer for the first time. I like it but can only have a little. I want a beautiful wife. I know she will probably be taller than me. I can't wait for my party," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

The young man is the same size as a one-year-old. His family said that he had stopped growing after his first birthday and has remained the same size ever since.
