Wills-Kat to have 'tight' first tour abroad with just 7 aides

June 16, 2011 - London

Prince William and his wife Kate will be accompanied by just seven aides on their first official tour abroad as they want to keep their entourage on the 11-day trip as 'tight as possible'.

The royal couple's entourage will include their adviser, former ambassador Sir David Manning, and a small number of secretaries.

Kate, 29, will not take a lady-in-waiting but is set to have her hairdresser James Pryce on the tour of North America.

William's private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton will also accompany the couple.

According to Lowther-Pinkerton, Kate will be helped by staff at their various residences, so she has nothing to 'worry about stuff other than core matters', reports the Sun.

The first leg of their tour begins in Canada later this month.
