October 27, 2011 - Peshawar

Six suspected militants were killed in a US drone strike on a vehicle in Pakistan's South Waziristan on Thursday.

Six missiles were fired at a double door wagon in the Azam Warsak area in South Waziristan, killing six suspected militants and wounding four others, The Express Tribune reported, attributing to its sources on the ground.

The death toll is expected to rise since there were a large number of passengers present in the vehicle at the time of the strike, the report said.

Local sources also said that Umar Wazir, a relative of senior militant Mullah Nazir, was killed along with Khan Muhammad, a senior commander of the group, it added.

However, the militant group has not issued a statement regarding these reported deaths.
