Three Pak soldiers killed, 25 injured in rocket attack on North Waziristan camp: Officials

At least three Pakistani paramilitary soldiers were killed and 25 others wounded in a rocket attack on their camp in North Waziristan on Sunday, according to officials.

Four rockets hit the camp in Miramshah, the main town of the North Waziristan tribal district, where troops were preparing for the Independence Day assembly, The Dawn quoted a senior security official, as telling a foreign news agency.

Another security official and local intelligence officials confirmed the rocket attack and the death toll.

Earlier on Sunday, heavily armed militants attacked a security check post in Miramshah, killing three security personnel.

Fifteen others were reported to be injured in the militant attack.

The incident occurred on the morning of the country's 64th Independence Day.
