Prince William and Kate help raise $1 million for children's charity

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton raised 1 million dollars at an annual dinner fund raiser for a children's charity.

The Royal couple hosted 'The 100 Women in Hedge Funds' gala, an annual dinner at St. James Palace to raise funds for the Child Bereavement Charity.

"What you are both doing together to alleviate the suffering of children who have lost family members, and bereaved families who have experienced the tragedy of losing a child, is beyond praise," Radar Online quoted the Prince as saying.

The Child Bereavement Charity said that, the 1 million dollars raised will be transformational in helping them extend their reach to more bereaved children, families and professionals throughout the U.K.
