Daniel Radcliffe apologizes after play got cancelled due to tragedy

June 24, 2011 - London

'Harry Potter' actor Daniel Radcliffe had apologized to the audience after an act of his play was cancelled following the death of a stagehand.

The 21-year-old actor was to perform the musical 'How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying' in New York before it was called off.

Audience members said that Radcliffe and co-star John Larroquette were emotional as they broke the news on Broadway.

"They apologised to everyone, but said it wouldn't be fair to us because they would not have been able to give a good performance," the Sun quoted Suzanne Jewell as saying.

"They said there was a tragedy and they didn't feel comfortable performing," Barbara Germain added.
