Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been beaten by a former model in representing the ideal of Parisian womanhood in a poll.
London, October 15 : Carla Bruni-Sarkozy has been beaten by a former model in representing the "ideal" of Parisian womanhood in a poll.
Ines de la Fressange piped the French first lady to represent the "ultimate chic, urban classiness, and unflappable elegance" of the Parisian woman.
The 52-year-old topped the poll, conducted by Figaroscope, Le Figaro's entertainment supplement, with 29.5 per cent of the votes while Carla, 41, came fifth with only 8.6 per cent, reports the Independent.
Speaking of Fressange, once the face of Chanel, Le Figaro said: She bubbles like a glass of champagne on the terrace of the Brasserie Flore... she even finds the time to pose in the nude for Madame Figaro magazine".
Other nominees included actress Chiara Mastroianni, comedian Valirie Lemercier and singer Arielle Dombasle.
