The Nepal Cabinet today endorsed the governments policies and programmes to be presented at the Constituent Assembly on Wednesday.
Kathmandu, Sep 9 : The Nepal Cabinet today endorsed the government's policies and programmes to be presented at the Constituent Assembly on Wednesday.
According to Minister for Information and Communication, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, the final policies and programmes was endorsed after accommodating 69-point suggestion by the Maoists, 50-point suggestion by the UML and recommendations put forward by other coalition partners including the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF).
Mahara said the final text would have between 80 to 90 points. The text will be read out by President Dr. Rambaran Yadav.
The highlights of the text include the resolve to conclude the peace process, sort out the issue of army integration within three to six months and provide relief to the people, Nepalnews reported.
