Nepal Maoists deceiving people, says Koirala

The Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala has said that the Maoist leaders are deceiving the people in the name of blending democracy and communism in Nepal.

Kathmandu, Oct 6 : The Nepali Congress (NC) President Girija Prasad Koirala has said that the Maoist leaders are deceiving the people in the name of blending democracy and communism in Nepal.

Addressing the Nepali Congress activists here on Sunday, Koirala said that the Maoist activities have gone out of consensus politics.

"The Maoists activities have posed a threat to the country which would eventually lead the country to nowhere," he added.

He also said that it was meaningless on the part of the Maoists to talk about nationality by moving away from politics of consensus.

Koirala said that all political parties should come together to strengthen democracy, Kantipur reported.
