Dis ex-butler Paul Burrell makes secret trip to the UK

Princess Dianas ex butler Paul Burrell has made a secret trip back to Britain, it has emerged.

London, Oct 3 : Princess Diana's ex butler Paul Burrell has made a secret trip back to Britain, it has emerged.

Burrell, who these days resides in Florida, has not been in Britain since his embarrassing appearance at his late employer's inquest at the beginning of the year.

However, now the 50-year-old has been spotted back in the Cheshire village of Farndon, home of his wife Maria and the location of his flower and gift shop.

"Paul knows he's hardly Mr Popular in the UK these days so he has been keen to keep the visit low-key," the Daily Express quoted a neighbour, as saying.

"But he has been spotted out and about in the high street and has actually been warmly received by most of the locals as he's still regarded as quite a celebrity in these parts," the neighbor added.

Burrell's marriage has long been a topic of debate - while he has chosen to make his fortune in America - Maria has continued to run the family business in the UK.

"It's understood to be a bit of a flying visit," one resident said.

"Paul knows he has burnt his bridges with the majority of the British public and makes no secret of the fact he prefers life in America," the resident added.
