The United States has advised its nationals to avoid unnecessary travel to Pakistan due to security concerns.

Lahore, Oct 10 : The United States has advised its nationals to avoid unnecessary travel to Pakistan due to security concerns.

According to a statement issued by the US State Department after Thursday's suicide blast in Islamabad, the US advised its nationals against travelling to Pakistan unless it was necessary, Aaj TV reported on Thursday.

It added that the statement also warned that al-Qaeda.asp">Al Qaeda, Taliban and other extremist groups could target US nationals in Pakistan.
