Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed on Friday questioned America’s decision to sign a civil nuclear deal with India, while at the same launching air strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas.

Islamabad, Oct.10 : Jamaat-e-Islami chief Qazi Hussain Ahmed on Friday questioned America’s decision to sign a civil nuclear deal with India, while at the same launching air strikes in Pakistan’s tribal areas.

He also said that Parliament’s in-camera session could not satisfy the nation, adding people should be taken into confidence over real situation in the North West Frontier Province and tribal areas.

He was speaking at a public gathering in Sargodha.

Ahmed said that the present system is a continuation of policies initiated by former President Pervez Musharraf. He said situation was getting worse and urged on the need to review current policies.

Terming the US as the biggest threat for Pakistan’s stability, he demanded of the government to halt military operation in tribal areas and called for immediate end of so-called war against terrorism.

Pakistan is being destabilized in the name of the terror war, he warned.
