Nepal Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai today urged the Non Residential Nepalis (NRN) to assist in the required sectors for the economic development of the country.
Washington, Oct 10 : Nepal Finance Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai today urged the Non Residential Nepalis (NRN) to assist in the required sectors for the economic development of the country.
Speaking at an interaction programme organised by the World Bank here, Dr. Bhattarai said that the government is determined for the economic development of the country and thus urged all for the assistance.
He said that the country can gain economic development if NRN's assist in the water resources, tourism, physical management and in the agricultural sectors.
According to the source, Dr. Bhattarai stressed on the need for cooperation by both the public and private sectors.
Earlier, Dr. Bhattarai met US Assistant Secretary Richard Boucher and held consultation on Nepal's economic development, political situation and others.
During the meeting, Boucher expressed his concern over the activities of the Maoist youth wing Young Communist League (YCL).
Finance Secretary Rameshwor Khanal and Nepali ambassador to the US, Dr Suresh Chandra Chalise were also present at the meeting, Kantipur reported.
