Committee member Abdul Hafeez Pirzada reported said that he had not been provided with any draft resolution for his consultation. He further said that that he and Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) president Aitzaz Ahsan were not to draft the resolution, because they were only required to offer their views on the implementation of the draft resolution, after the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) agreed on it.
The committee had reiterated that an agreement had been reached over the resolution but it later said some small 'glitches' were yet to resolved, the Daily Times quoted him as saying.
Meanwhile, unidentified sources in the presidency have said that the deposed judges were not likely to be restored by May 12 because their reinstatement required a constitutional amendment with a two-thirds majority in parliament, and such a parliament resolution was not possible in present circumstances.
