The Election Commission (EC) of Nepal is all set to announce the list of 335 candidates elected to the Constituent Assembly (CA) under the proportional representation (PR) system today.

Kathmandu, May 8 : The Election Commission (EC) of Nepal is all set to announce the list of 335 candidates elected to the Constituent Assembly (CA) under the proportional representation (PR) system today.

According to Nepalnews, EC officials said they were in the final stages of the work on the list of PR candidates submitted by the parties.

As per constitutional provisions, the CA meeting will convene within 21 days from the day when final results are announced. Apart from setting the date for the first CA meeting, the cabinet will nominate 26 CA members from different sections of society.
