A new survey has found that Brits consume more than 8.3million calories in their lives through unhealthy food.

London, May 7 : A new survey has found that Brits consume more than 8.3million calories in their lives through unhealthy food.

According to the study, conducted by a fresh fruit firm, the staggering total is equivalent to ten years of the recommended daily intake of calories for adults.

The poll showed that the average person each week scoffs three chocolate bars, three packets of crisps, a cereal bar, a bag of nuts, a muffin, four biscuits and six sweets.

The study also showed that most snacking is on weekdays.

"It's incredible the calories we consume through snacks with no nutritional value," The Sun quoted Marie-Eve Laporte, spokesman for the fresh fruit firm, as saying.
