Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President and Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Ram Chandra Poudel on Tuesday said that the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) has to change its army structure prior to forming a new government.

Kathmandu, May 6 : Nepali Congress (NC) Vice-President and Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Ram Chandra Poudel on Tuesday said that the Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) has to change its army structure prior to forming a new government.

Poudel opined that the Maoists should make some moves to settle their People's Liberation Army (PLA) personnel before the formation of the new government.

According to Kantipur, he was speaking at a Press conference in Damauli today, Poudle, who is visiting his home district Tanahu first time after wining the Constituent Assembly (CA) election, underscored that the Maoists need to dissolve its partial-army body.

Poudel said that the Maoist activists don't have rights to work as police personnel's without uniform and also remarked that the Maoists should get rid of "thinking themselves as the nation".

He stated that the Maoist, which has emerged as the largest party in the April 10 Constituent Assembly elections, should form the next government as per the agreements with the other big political parties.
