Burrell - whose credibility was ripped to shreds after he was caught boasting that he had misled the inquiry into the death of Princess Diana -is celebrating his birthday on June 6.
But instead of keeping a low profile, his pals have revealed that the ex-royal butler, who is based in Florida, intends to splash out on a big bash with friends and family across the Atlantic.
"Paul feels he's been through hell recently so he really wants to let his hair down and make this a party to remember," The Daily Express quoted a family insider, as saying.
"He's looking to hire a grand venue in Florida to host the event. As well as his friends in the US, his wife Maria and sons Nicholas and Alexander will be there," the insider added.

"Paul wants to keep the party under wraps because he knows he'll get lots of flak after all the recent controversy. He's not exactly crazy about the idea of turning 50 but he's determined to make this a night to remember," the family source added.
