At least three people, including a policeman, were killed and four injured on Tuesday when a suicide bomber riding a rickshaw attacked a police checkpoint in Pakistans northwest.

Peshawar, May 6 : At least three people, including a policeman, were killed and four injured on Tuesday when a suicide bomber riding a rickshaw attacked a police checkpoint in Pakistan's northwest.

"The suicide attacker rode up to the checkpoint on a bridge in the town of Bannu and detonated his explosives when officers signaled him to stop," Dawn quoted Dar Ali, the Bannu District Police Chief.

According to the army, two civilians and one policeman were killed in the attack. Whereas Police said four of their officers were wounded in the attack.

No one has claimed responsibility so far.
