Fiona MacKeown, the 43-year-old mother of murdered Briton Scarlett Keeling, has refused to bury her daughter until Indian doctors return her organs.
London, May 6 : Fiona MacKeown, the 43-year-old mother of murdered Briton Scarlett Keeling, has refused to bury her daughter until Indian doctors return her organs.
MacKeown says she was devastated when her 15-year-old daughter's body was sent back to England from Goa with numerous body parts removed.
Fiona planned to hold Scarlett's funeral on the day she would have turned 16 next month, but now she says the burial cannot take place with "much of her beautiful body is missing".
"They took her uterus, kidneys, lungs, stomach, parts of her brain, even her ovaries without asking or telling me why."
The teen's partially naked body was found on a beach in February. Cops initially said she had drowned.
But Fiona demanded an inquiry and a second post mortem proved her daughter was raped and killed. Two men have been charged but it is believed up to four males were involved.
Fiona said she knows who was really behind her daughter's death.
The mum-of-nine, told The Sun, "He is the son of a senior politician who drank in the same bars as Scarlett. I have passed his name to police but they have failed to act."
