Pakistan Foreign Secretary on Saturday said that the countrys foreign policy would be different from the past where it was focused on the geo-political factors.
Islamabad, May 3 : Pakistan Foreign Secretary on Saturday said that the country's foreign policy would be different from the past where it was focused on the geo-political factors.
"'The present government has already set up a Task Force to suggest ways and means of strengthening 'economic diplomacy', aimed at making the foreign policy different from the past where the foreign policy focused on the geo-political factors," the Dawn quoted Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir, as saying.
He also urged the country's missions abroad to concentrate more on 'economic diplomacy' in developing country-to-country relationship.
Bashir, until recently envoy to China, who assumed his new responsibilities on Saturday, said that Pakistan, being a developing country has to work more aggressively on deepening its economic ties with the friendly countries.
