Kathmandu, May 3 : The meeting of the CPN (UML) central committee scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled owing to the death of alternative CC member Prakash Jwala's wife, Sushila Subedi.
Late Subedi, 38, was also an active member of the party.
The CC meeting will resume at 11:00 am on Sunday, UML leader Shankar Pokharel informed.
The meeting was called in order to analyse the causes behind the loss the party suffered in the constituent assembly polls, and devise future strategies.
Friday's meeting had finalised the list of 70 candidates of the party to be elected to the CA under the proportional representation (PR) system, nepalnews.com reported.
