Zardari stresses formula for judges restoration in Pakistan

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that the restoration of sacked judges is a crucial issue and should be resolved by devising a formula.

Lahore, May 3 : Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that the restoration of sacked judges is a crucial issue and should be resolved by devising a formula.

According to the Daily Times, Zardari said he backed what Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Chief Nawaz Sharif had said in Friday's press conference.

The PPP was committed to the Murree Declaration, he said, adding that he had said reporters after singing the agreement that no judges would be expelled.

Zardari said his party had been part of the lawyers' movement and members of the PPP had run the movement. He also said that he could not accept a president who was superior to the parliament.
