Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) Chairman Prachanda on Saturday said that implementation of republic will be carried out in the next few days stating that the 60 year long struggle by the Nepali public has finally succeeded.

Kathmandu, May 3 : Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) Chairman Prachanda on Saturday said that implementation of republic will be carried out in the next few days stating that the 60 year long struggle by the Nepali public has finally succeeded.

Prachanda also remarked that the country will set an example by formulating 'the best constitution in the world' under Maoist leadership.

He said many challenges lie ahead in the formulation of a new constitution and many feudal elements might create obstacles and everyone should be careful on the issue.

"Support and co-ordination between all the political parties and support from all quarters of civil society is essential in the formulation of new constitution. We all need to be careful and united against feudal elements that may try to obstruct the formulation of new constitution," Kantipur quoted Prachanda, as saying.

He was speaking at a programme in the capital to launch the autobiography of Ram Raja Prasad Singh, inspiration of the republic system of governance in the country, Prachanda pointed out the need of support from all sides in the formulation of the new constitution.

The Maoist Chairman also informed that he had expressed his commitment to donor agencies to present Nepal as a model of peace to the world when they questioned about his future plans for the country.

Prachanda also added that the time has come for economic revolution in the country and all the people of the country should contribute to the revolution.
