Prince Harry set for Aids mission to Africa

London, May 29 : Months after his deployment to Afghanistan, Prince Harry is embarking on a humanitarian mission to Africa to work for a charity he set up to help orphans of the Aids epidemic.

The Royal will travel to the Kingdom of Lesotho this summer with military colleagues to work on projects supported by his charity 'Sentebale' launched in the memory of his mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, in 2006.

Sentebale - which means "forget me not" in the local language, Sesotho - offers funds to community projects to help Aids orphans and other vulnerable children, reports the Telegraph.

Prince Harry, a lieutenant in the Household Cavalry's Blues and Royals first visited Lesotho during his gap year in 2004 when he met young TV and Aids sufferers.

Sentebale has so far raised more than 1 million pounds, boosted by 100,000 pounds from last year's concert for Diana, Princess of Wales, which Harry, 23, organised with his brother Prince William, 25.

Land Rover has agreed to provide transport for the trip.
