Washington, May 2 : Pakistan's new coalition government is likely to change its officially appointed lobbyists in the United States.
Several lobbying contracts signed during the previous caretaker regime are coming to end. The change is expected because a new administration almost always changes its representatives in Washington, a Congressional newspaper reported.
"The change is part of the prerogative of the new government in Islamabad to undertake a review of the means at its disposal to present Pakistan's point of view to US decision and opinion makers," the Pakistani Embassy told the publication.
According to the Daily Times, a longtime Democratic Party activist Mark Siegel, a close friend of Benazir Bhutto, is serving as the new Pakistan Government's unofficial adviser.
