Islamabad, May 18 : As Slamaan Taseer's recent appointment as Punjab's Governor, created fissures in the PPP-PML-N coalition, the PPP started efforts to seek maximum support of the independent members in the National Assembly for smooth sailing of the Budget session.

Former Chief Minister Punjab Mazoor Ahmad Wattoo exchanged views with Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on socio-economic and political situation of the country and more significant in the backdrop of souring relations between the PPP and the PML-N over Salmaan Taseer's appointment.
