The United States has reiterated its support for the peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir issue, saying it would continue encouraging discussion among parties to resolve the dispute.
Washington, May 16 : The United States has reiterated its support for the peaceful settlement of the Jammu and Kashmir issue, saying it would continue encouraging discussion among parties to resolve the dispute.
The Daily Times quoted US State Department Deputy spokesman Tom Casey as saying that Pakistan and India should resolve differences over the dispute through dialogue.
"We believe that any differences between India and Pakistan should be resolved through dialogue," he added.
He further said, we've supported dialogue and discussion among the parties in the past, and we'll continue to do so.
