Prince William snubs royal wedding for ex-girlfriends Kenyan bash

Kate Middleton will attend a royal wedding on May 17 alone, while Prince William travels to Africa for another bash with his ex.

London, May 16 : Kate Middleton will attend a royal wedding on May 17 alone, while Prince William travels to Africa for another bash with his ex.

Middleton will stand in for the Prince at the marriage of the Queen's eldest grandchild Peter Phillips, while her boyfriend attends his ex-girlfriend Jecca Craig's brother's wedding in Kenya.

Though the Palace tried to insist William, 25, was not delivering a snub to either Kate or the rest of his family, his decision to join his ex-girlfriend has baffled many royal aides.

One insider admitted that Wills' move to miss his cousin's wedding had caused "more than a few raised eyebrows".

"Choosing the family of his ex-girlfriend ahead of everyone else makes it even more bizarre. Wills is very close to the Craigs, but this will inevitably question his priorities," The Sun quoted the insider, as saying.

Another source said that Kate's stand-in role indicates the status she now enjoys within royal circles, and is likely to fuel speculation that an engagement between the couple may be imminent.

"Her presence without William shows just how importantly she is regarded," the source said.
