Madame Tussauds drops plans for Gordon Brown waxwork

Madame Tussauds has dropped plans to immortalise British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in wax.

London, May 15 : Madame Tussaud's has dropped plans to immortalise British Prime Minister Gordon Brown in wax.

The famous wax museum had decided to make a figure of Brown. However, before it went ahead, it decided to hold a poll about whether the public thought he should rub shoulder with the likes of Tony Blair, Winston Churchill, Princess Diana, Prince Charles, Amitabh Bachchan and others.

6,000 visitors were asked to vote, and over 5,300 of them said that Brown didn't deserve to be a wax piece.

The snub means that Brown will now become the first sitting PM not to feature in the London museum in 150 years.

An insider revealed that his unpopularity could see rival David Cameron becoming PM.

"We could be making a David Cameron model before too long," The Sun quoted the insider, as saying.
