Karachi, May 15 : The Deputy Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Shehla Raza, has said that legal hurdles are coming in the way of the immediate reinstatement of the deposed judges in Pakistan.
The Daily Times quoted Raza as saying that people were well aware of the facts and were not worried, as reposed confidence in the present ruling coalition.
The Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was behind the lawyers in the quest for the rule of law and the independence of judiciary, she stressed.
"People have not forgotten that the PPP has promised an independent judiciary and practically beat other political parties to realize this goal," she added.
Raza was also sure that the deposed judges would be lawfully and respectfully reinstated. "We don't have the one-man rule by which the judges were deposed; our government will set a precedent on how to accomplish a legal job lawfully," she said.
"People should realize that the PPP government is still not acceptable to the establishment because of the 11-year rule of rival parties so solutions may take some time," she said.
