Jenna Bush weds Henry Hager in a low-key ceremony

President George W. Bushs daughter Jenna married the son of a prominent Virginia Republican at the presidents ranch in Crawford, Texas on May 10.

Washington, May 11 : President George W. Bush's daughter Jenna married the son of a prominent Virginia Republican at the president's ranch in Crawford, Texas on May 10.

Jenna exchanged vows with Henry Hager, a business school student and son of former Virginia Lieutenant Governor John Hager, in a private ceremony beside a manmade lake on Bush's 1,600-acre ranch, under a cross made of Texas limestone.

Jenna's twin sister Barbara was her maid of honour, and 14 female attendants and 14 male ushers were at the ceremony.

On Saturday morning, the president spoke about the big occasion in his weekly radio broadcast.

"This is a joyous occasion for our family, as we celebrate the happy life ahead of (Jenna) and her husband, Henry," People quoted Bush, as saying.

"It's also a special time for Laura, who this Mother's Day weekend will watch a young woman we raised together walk down the aisle," he added.

The marriage was held under a partial media blackout.
