Malaysian budget airline AirAsia will fly daily to the south Indian city of Trichy from Kuala Lumpur effective October.

Kuala Lumpur, May 1 : Malaysian budget airline AirAsia will fly daily to the south Indian city of Trichy from Kuala Lumpur effective October.

The two-way flight will cost RM400 inclusive of airport tax.

AirAsia chief executive officer Datuk Tony Fernandez made this announcement in an exclusive interview with Makkal Osai published yesterday.

The Star quoted him as saying that the flights would provide more opportunities for budget travellers to fly to India.
