Impeaching President Musharraf a mad mans dream: Shujaat Hussain

PML-Q president and former Pakistan premier, Shujaat Hussain has said that President Pervez Musharraf was an elected head of the state for a term of five years and that the PPP and the PML-N should not spread confusion about his legitimacy of being at the post.

Lahore, Mar 8 : PML-Q president and former Pakistan premier, Shujaat Hussain has said that President Pervez Musharraf was an elected head of the state for a term of five years and that the PPP and the PML-N should not spread confusion about his legitimacy of being at the post.

He said that Musharraf had fulfilled his promise of conducting free and fair polls and also the ruling party (PML-Q) in the country has accepted the poll results, so now the PPP and PML-N should not create confusion about impeaching Musharraf after assuming power.

He said that talking about impeachment of Musharraf and his resignation was just a mad man's dream and unnecessary demands of PPP and PML-N would not be accepted.

Hussain was talking to a delegation led by Secretary General PML-Q Sangla Hill Tariq Saeed.

Urging Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari to respect public mandate, the PML-Q President clarified that PML-Q would not create unnecessary obstacles for new government if it avoids using negative tactics against the PML-Q.
