Our support to PPP only if it sets a time frame for judges restoration: PML-N

It seems that the PML-Ns tough stance over the issues of reinstatement of the sacked judges and impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf has hung the fate of formation PPP-PML-N coalition in balance.

Islamabad, Mar 7 : It seems that the PML-N's tough stance over the issues of reinstatement of the sacked judges and impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf has hung the fate of formation PPP-PML-N coalition in balance.

A senior MNA-elect of the PML-N's yesterday reportedly said that his party would accept portfolios in the federal cabinet only if the PPP set a definite time frame for the sacked judges' restoration.

"We'll agree to a power-sharing formula at the centre only once it is done," the Daily Times quoted him as saying.

The PML-N leader further said that the PPP-PML-N talks on the judges' issue had stalled due to the PPP's inflexible stand.

He said that the PML-N was in no position to compromise its commitment to the judges' restoration.

He said the PPP had linked support to the PML-N in the Punjab with the latter's acceptance of federal cabinet slots. He said the PML-N had so far forwarded no names for federal cabinet members to the PPP.
