Pakistan cant blame any state for terrorism without evidence: Caretaker FM

Reacting to the recent statement by Pakistans Caretaker Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz that the US, Afghanistan and India were involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan, the countrys Caretaker Foreign Minister Inamul Haque has said that such a blame should not be levelled without concrete evidence.

Islamabad, Mar 6 : Reacting to the recent statement by Pakistan's Caretaker Interior Minister Hamid Nawaz that the US, Afghanistan and India were involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan, the country's Caretaker Foreign Minister Inamul Haque has said that such a blame should not be levelled without concrete evidence.

He said that Pakistan was not in a position to blame any country for being involved in terrorism within its borders because of lack of evidence.

"No country could be named unless concrete evidence was available. Once we've sufficient evidence, we will name the country involved," the Daily Times quoted him as saying.

Last week, Hamid Nawaz Hamid Nawaz had in an interview to Arab TV said that the US, India and Afghanistan were involved in lawlessness in Pakistan, and that generally it was believed that America and Afghanistan were backing the outfits involved in terrorism in Pakistan.

He had also said that there were reports that Indian Intelligence Agency RAW was involved in violent incidents in Pakistan. "We are sure that RAW is involved and there was no doubt in it," he said in the TV interview.

Following the interview, the US had on Sunday expressed concern over the minister's allegations. In a statement, the American Embassy in Islamabad said that the US Ambassador NW Patterson talked to the Minister of Interior Hamid Nawaz on telephone to communicate concern over his statement.
