The caretaker Law Minister of Pakistans North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Mian Mohammad Ajmal, has called on India to release 508 Pakistanis lodged in Indian jails, most of whom have completed their sentences.

Islamabad, Mar.5 : The caretaker Law Minister of Pakistan's North West Frontier Province (NWFP), Mian Mohammad Ajmal, has called on India to release 508 Pakistanis lodged in Indian jails, most of whom have completed their sentences.

Ajmal told Geo News that there are 445 Indians including 392 fisherfolk in Pakistani prisons.

He claimed that both sides would exchange the lists of the prisoners by March 31.

The procedure of the release of the prisoners has been discussed in the recent meeting of the Pakistan-India Judicial Committee, and in this connection the members of the Indian Judicial Committee will come to Pakistan next month.

He termed the release of Kashmir Singh, the Indian who was on death row for 35 years in Pakistan, as a pleasant move.
