South Korea dispatched a mission to Nepal on Tuesday to investigate the crash of the United Nations helicopter that took place in Ramechhap district on Monday afternoon.

Kathmandu, Mar.4 : South Korea dispatched a mission to Nepal on Tuesday to investigate the crash of the United Nations helicopter that took place in Ramechhap district on Monday afternoon.

According to The Korea Times, the fact-finding mission led by Air Force Maj. Gen. Lee Young-man, which will include two family members of Lt. Col. Park Hyung-jin, an official with the UNMIN who was aboard the ill-fated helicopter, and a South Korean officer.

The Home Ministry has said bodies of all 12 people on board have been recovered from the crash site in Bethan VDC-9, Ramechhap, whereas the UNMIN has only confirmed the deaths of 10 people

Meanwhile, UN secretary-general Ban Ki-Moon has expressed sorrow at the news of the chopper crash.
