A Tory council in the UK has been lambasted for splurging more than 6,000 pounds on team-building exercises, particularly chocolate-making lessons for managers.
London, March 30 : A Tory council in the UK has been lambasted for splurging more than 6,000 pounds on team-building exercises, particularly chocolate-making lessons for managers.
Chiefs of the Suffolk county council paid up for activity days for 50 senior staff in a bid to make them better at teamwork and cooperation.
Council executives were offered the choice of chocolate-making, drumming, singing or rope walks at an activity centre.
The training days were dubbed as "hard to justify" by opposition leaders.
"These activities should be questioned when basic services for the elderly are being cut," the Mirror quoted opposition Labour leader Julian Swainson, as saying.
