At least seven people were killed when a helicopter of United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) crashed this afternoon in Nepal.

Kathmandu, Mar 3 : At least seven people were killed when a helicopter of United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) crashed this afternoon in Nepal.

According to state-owned Nepal Television, local people have told the authorities that seven dead bodies were seen, but the report has not yet been confirmed.

Senior officials of Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) were quoted as saying that that the airport had lost contact with a UN helicopter.

According to certain reports, the helicopter was returning from Dudhauli camp in Sindhuli district to Kathmandu when it crashed over Ramechhap in central Nepal.
