Kush Kumar Joshi elected Nepals FNCCI President

Kush Kumar Joshi has been elected the new President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

Kathmandu, Mar 27 : Kush Kumar Joshi has been elected the new President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI).

Joshi, who succeeds Chandi Raj Dhakal, will head the business chamber for the next three years, nepalnews.com reported.

The election was held on Wednesday at the 42nd Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Besides, three Vice Presidents (Krishna Prasad Tamrakar, Pradeep Jung Pandey and Bhaskar Rajkarnikar) and 42 executive committee members have also been elected at the AGM.

Dhakal, seeking fresh tenure, and Joshi, a sitting second Vice President, had contested the election for the post of FNCCI President.

The voting for the new leadership was held on Wednesday and the results were made public on Thursday.

The FNCCI is an umbrella organisation of the Nepalese private sector.

It was established in 1965 with the aim of promoting business and industry while protecting the rights and interests of business and industrial communities, FNCCI has been playing a key role in promoting business and industry in the country.
