Pakistan Foreign Office on Wednesday said that the parliament has every right to reconsider or review the countrys foreign policy as well as its stance on the war on terror.

Islamabad, Mar 26 : Pakistan Foreign Office on Wednesday said that the parliament has every right to reconsider or review the country's foreign policy as well as its stance on the war on terror.

Foreign Office spokesperson Muhammad Sadiq said US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte met Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani to sum up negotiations made during his visit.

"Their visit was prescheduled for March to allow the transition of power to be completed in the country," Sadiq told reporters.

Negroponte discussed and negotiated primarily three things with Pakistani officials and politicians, including resumption of the composite dialogue with India, future and development of reconstruction opportunity zones and, bilateral strategic relations and cooperation in the ongoing war against terror and in the bordering region with Afghanistan, The News quoted Sadiq, as saying.

He said the US has announced to give 750 million dollars in aid separately for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
