At least five Pakistani soldiers were killed and nine others injured in a suicide car bomb attack on Thursday near the Pakistan-Afghan border.

Islamabad, Mar 20 : At least five Pakistani soldiers were killed and nine others injured in a suicide car bomb attack on Thursday near the Pakistan-Afghan border.

The attack took place in South Waziristan's main town of Wana, Pakistan's military said in a statement.

Two vehicles were also damaged in the attack, the statement said.

The statement, however, did not divulge further details.

An army spokesman said that they were investigating into the matter, but did not give details.
