British Prime MInister Gordon Brown has clinched talks between Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

London, Mar.20 : British Prime MInister Gordon Brown has clinched talks between Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

According to The Mirror, Brown revealed that Premier Wen Jiabao agreed to hold talks with the Dalai Lama when they spoke yesterday morning.The PM also revealed he would meet the exiled Buddhist leader when he visits Britain this year.

The breakthrough came when Brown took a tough line with Premier Wen in a phone call.

He told MPs: "I made it clear there had to be an end to violence in Tibet."
