Over 1000 huts inhabited by Bhutanese refugees were gutted by a fire in the Goldhap refugee camp in Nepals Jhapa District on Saturday evening.
Kathmandu, Mar.2 : Over 1000 huts inhabited by Bhutanese refugees were gutted by a fire in the Goldhap refugee camp in Nepal's Jhapa District on Saturday evening.
The fire started at around 6:30 p.m. in the evening, and later engulfed the entire camp, NepalNews reported on Sunday.
Initial reports say only three persons were injured in the fire. Fire brigades were busy trying to put the fire out till late at night. Hundreds of security personnel were mobilized to rescue the people.
The camp is occupied by over 10,000 Bhutanese refugees.
