London, Mar.19 (AMI): Prime Minister Gordon Brown has warned that Britain faces a rising threat of a nuclear attack.

The Prime Minister will tell the Commons that an increasing number of rogue states are getting nuclear weapons, and he will warn there are more and more terrorist groups trying to get "dirty bombs", which can spread radioactive material over vast areas, reports The Mirror.

Angry Opposition MPs, however, are expected to dismiss Brown's claim as alarmist.Brown's warning will be the first annual assessment to MPs of the security risks facing Britain.

Brown is also expected to announce plans to set up a US-style National Security Council.
