The United States Senate has passed a resolution that demands the restoration of the over 60 judges sacked by President General Pervez Musharraf on November 3 last year.
Lahore, Mar.18 : The United States Senate has passed a resolution that demands the restoration of the over 60 judges sacked by President General Pervez Musharraf on November 3 last year.
According to Geo News, Congressmen William Delahund and Zoe Lofgren tabled the motion. They had also written letters to other congressmen seeking their support, it added.
The resolution also welcomed the joint decision of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif to restore the judiciary.
Last week, the winning parties met in Murree and said they would pass a resolution within 30 days to restore the judiciary.
