Pakistans Intelligence Bureau chief Ijaz Shah has resigned from his post.

Islamabad, Mar 18 : Pakistan's Intelligence Bureau chief Ijaz Shah has resigned from his post.

It may be recalled that late premier Benazir Bhutto, who was assassinated on December 27 last year, considered Shah as one of her dangerous enemies.

On Monday, Shah reportedly held a "farewell meeting" with caretaker Prime Minister Mohammadmian Soomro.

According to senior government officials, Shah had sent his resignation many days ago and the government accepted it.
