The June-July's Asia Cup and the September-October's Champions Trophy are in doubt and they are likely to be shifted to Sri Lanka, reported The Nation.
The current situation of the country has its effects on the Australian series and the cancellation of the series has in turn put all the sporting activities in the country to a standstill, added the paper
It has been learnt that the ICC and the Asian body has also shown its concern over the holding of the events in Pakistan amid the current wave of bombings, which they see would hold the foreign team away from coming here.
Besides, the Pakistan Cricket Board has also been in a fix over the issue.
The issue of holding these events in Pakistan or shifting to Sri Lanka are likely to come up for discussion at the two-day ICC meeting beginning today in Dubai, where PCB chief Dr Nasim Ashraf is expected to meet the Asian as well as the parent body officials.
Besides, at the meeting, the ICC will also finalise a shortened 2011 One-day World Cup format and a successor to chief executive Malcolm Speed. The crisis in Zimbabwe cricket might also be discussed and the ICC might consider an independent audit that has been undertaken into the game's board there.
